Dr. Vasa and Mrs. Brenda Cate

Dr. Vasa and Brenda Cate both believe in helping people in need, especially those in the community they call home. For this reason, they felt compelled to make a gift in their will to the Lexington Medical Center Foundation to support nursing scholarships.

"Brenda and I grew up much the same way, when it came to needs and so forth. We have always been drawn toward helping students in financial need because it wasn't available when we were coming along. And we understood the need for good nurses, particularly at Lexington Medical Center, so we decided that's what we wanted to do."

The Cate's legacy will affect countless lives through the healing skill of nurses at Lexington Medical Center. They chose to give a specific dollar amount from their estate to the Foundation, and this gift is written into their will.
